About Me

My name is Carly Angove, I am a Multi-Award Winning Bridal Makeup Artist based in Newquay, Cornwall. I cover the whole of the South West including Cornwall and Devon, and will travel nationwide and overseas upon request.

My passion is Bridal Makeup and weddings – this is where I have made my mark, gained my reputation and grown as an artist.

I am a true perfectionist at heart and I pride myself in being a versatile artist. I give everything 100% and I never believe in a one size fits all approach.

I truly believe everyone is beautiful in their own way and that makeup should never mask but to purely enhance a woman’s natural beauty.

I love nothing more than being part of a wedding day and always feel absolutely honoured to share such an important day with you.

But whatever the occasion, whether it’s getting married or wanting to look your best for a special occasion, event or a photoshoot, I am extremely dedicated to making you feel and look amazing on your special day.

There really is no better feeling than when a bride or client looks in the mirror and has the biggest smile on their face, beaming with confidence and happiness!

From simple, glowing, flawless natural looks to a more fuller look, I will listen to your needs and create the perfect look for you.

My kit is filled with some of the best brands on the market, the likes of Charlotte Tilbury, NARS, Bobbi Brown, Too Faced, Laura Mercier, MAC, just to name a few, really the list is endless.

I am 100% committed to providing a very professional and excellent customer service, going above and beyond for all my clients.

I come highly recommended by brides, suppliers and venues alike where I am listed as a recommended supplier with various venues and wedding suppliers around the county.

My work has been published in several magazines and I am very proud to have won the Bridal Makeup Artist award in both 2021 and 2019 with Simply Weddings, voted by brides, grooms and members of the bridal party.

What can I really say? Carly is simply amazing. I first met her in August 2018 for an initial trial when I was searching for my makeup artist and instantly felt at ease! Not only is she an incredibly talented makeup artist but is so good at making you feel comfortable and relaxed. On the day of my wedding there was myself, my five bridesmaids and both mums to have makeup. Even when having moments of stress Carly completely looked after me. She has been perfect from day one! She went above and beyond to make myself and my wedding party look and feel fabulous and she totally smashed it. I have never ever felt so relaxed and at ease and knew from the trial I had 11 months previously I was instantly in safe hands. She created the most beautiful look for me to suit my face features and idyllic princess and flawless look with killer lashes that I was after. Carly was absolutely amazing from start to finish. I was so worried about not having a trial beforehand but Carly completely put me at ease. I don’t wear a lot of make-up normally, so was worried about having my make up done. I felt a million dollars on the day and Carly made my morning getting ready. I had 2 bridesmaids, one of which had a bad experience with a MUA before and she loved Carly so much she has booked her for her wedding. I couldn’t recommend Carly enough, my make up was natural but lasted all day, my mum was gutted she didn’t have hers done too.
